Very large and impressive wall sculpture by Mike Scott Chai, dating from the early 1980s. This very large sculpture has been skillfully hand-turned from solid Burr Oak. Scorching to the finish is a technique often used by Mike Chai to create contrast between the natural wood and textures.
The piece is signed "Mike Scott Chai" on the rear.
A wonderfully impressive wall sculpture, this is one of the largest turned pieces from Mike Chai that we have seen and was originally purchased from Mike Chai's personal collection.
