Product description
Wall Mirror, Denmark, 1960s
This Danish wall mirror stands out for its elongated octagonal shape and richly figured rosewood frame. The geometric silhouette gives the piece a sculptural quality, while the deep colour and expressive grain of the wood bring warmth and depth.
The frame is built from precisely joined angled sections, with clean mitred corners that emphasise the craftsmanship behind the design. Lighter streaks run through the darker rosewood, creating a strong natural contrast across the surface. The mirror glass sits slightly recessed within the frame, producing a subtle shadow line that gives the profile greater definition.
The original backing board and wall-mounting point remain in place. A lighter wooden inner trim on the reverse creates a quiet contrast with the darker rosewood exterior. Its tall, narrow proportions make the mirror particularly well suited to a hallway, bedroom or the wall above a small sideboard.
