Special set of 4 solid bronze wall lamps in an organic "heart" shape. They are cast. Because they are handmade, they all have slightly different weights. They date from around 1980 and were designed by David Marshall. "The designer David Marshall is originally from Scotland, but has lived and worked in Spain since the 1960s. He has his headquarters and foundry in Malaga and a gallery in the mountain village of Benahavís."
"This specific 'shell' or 'sculptural' wall model is documented as part of sets designed by Marshall.
"The lamp displays the rough, 'battered' texture in the center of the metal, which is a signature of his sand-casting technique."
The fittings and suspension brackets are located on the inside. However, the wiring will need to be replaced in accordance with current safety standards. Because they are so heavy and massive (over 5 kg each), they will need to be securely anchored to the wall.
They are in good condition. Signs of use in the form of scratches. However, due to the reflections, these are not very noticeable.
The dimensions approximately:
Height: 25 cm
Width: 31 cm
Depth: 8.5 cm
Total weight: 21,600 grams (21.6 kg)
Small fitting (E14)
