About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a ceramic jug by the German manufacturer Waechtersbach, dating from the Jugendstil period. The piece is an excellent example of early modernism, with the characteristic geometric "Decor 1908" design. The jug is made of cream-colored ceramic and is decorated with a stylized, architectural pattern in blue and green hues. It comes with a matching metal lid and a removable infuser, suggesting it was intended for brewing tea or coffee. The base stamp confirms its origin and dates the piece with "Dec. 1908", making it an authentic antique object. The jug is in good condition, consistent with its age of over a century. The glaze shows a subtle patina that contributes to the authentic character of the object. The overall structure is intact, and the decor has been clearly preserved. As a decorative object, this jug adds a touch of historical elegance to a sideboard, display cabinet, or as part of a ceramics collection. It fits well within both classic and eclectic interiors.
