This armchair is a vintage reproduction of the classic Nautilus swivel chair designed by Vladimir Kagan and upholstered in black leather. The design features a rounded back and integrated armrests. Light signs of use are visible, including some soft creasing on the leather caused by the internal padding, which has sagged over the years. It would benefit from a professional reupholster but it still has its iconic looks.
Bought locally in 2004 from a private seller for cash hence no receipts.
There is no label visible but i believe it to be a Weiman reproduction in the style of Vladimir Kagan.
Signs of wear: the leather is in very good condition with only a few very light scratches. From a smoke- and pet-free home. The swivel base is a steel ring mounted in nylon blocks and is not a return-to-centre automatic mechanism.
