About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
The Vitra Imago armchair, designed by the renowned Italian architect and designer Mario Bellini, is a representative example of refined office furniture from the late twentieth century. This specific model, produced in 1993, combines a sleek architectural design language with a high level of ergonomic comfort, making it a sought-after object for lovers of authentic design. The chair is crafted with a robust, chrome-plated metal sled base that provides subtle suspension while seated. The seat and backrest are upholstered in high-quality black leather, which has developed a characteristic suppleness over the years. The original Vitra production label is still present on the underside, confirming the authenticity and the exact production date of May 1993. The object is in very creditable vintage condition. The leather has retained its deep black color and displays a natural patina befitting the age of the piece. The structural integrity of the chrome-plated frame is fully intact, without any significant loss of shine. This office chair functions perfectly as a statement piece in a representative study or a modern home office. The timeless combination of black leather and chrome seamlessly complements both minimalist and more eclectic interior styles, adding an atmosphere of professional elegance.
