The Vitra HAL RE, designed by Jasper Morrison, is a reinterpretation of the classic shell chair in the tradition of Charles and Ray Eames — crafted from recycled plastic. The material comes from Germany's Yellow Bag recycling system and consists of reprocessed packaging waste. The use of this recycled material reduces climate-damaging emissions by 54% and significantly lowers energy consumption. Even at the end of its lifespan, the seat shell can be 100% recycled. The characteristic fine color pigment inclusions in the material make each HAL RE a unique piece.
