About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is the Eames Lounge Chair with Ottoman, manufactured by Vitra and designed by Charles and Ray Eames. Since its introduction in 1956, this ensemble has developed into an undisputed icon of 20th-century modern design, known for its exceptional comfort and sculptural form.
The construction consists of shells made of molded plywood with a light wood veneer, which forms a warm contrast to the black leather upholstery. The soft, removable cushions are covered with high-quality black leather and offer a luxurious seating experience. The Armchairs stands on a five-star swivel base made of aluminum, while the Ottoman has a matching four-star base, both with black lacquered sides and polished top edges.
This set is in very well-maintained condition. The leather shows slight, characteristic creasing, which is inherent to the material and emphasizes its character, without significant signs of wear. The wooden shells and the aluminum frame are excellently preserved and show signs of careful maintenance.
As a timeless classic, the Eames Lounge Chair seamlessly integrates into a variety of interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary or minimalist environments. It is a statement piece of furniture that serves both as an elegant seating option in a living room and as a comfortable retreat in a library or study.
