The Vitra Eames Lounge Chair, designed by Charles and Ray Eames, is an iconic piece of furniture that combines comfort and refined design. This specific example, executed in the 'New Dimensions' specification, offers a timeless aesthetic that is recognized worldwide as a masterpiece of modern furniture design. The chair is crafted with a bentwood shell, finished with a rich wood veneer that provides a warm appearance. The upholstery consists of high-quality black leather, creating a luxurious contrast with the wooden elements. The base is made of sturdy metal with a black and polished finish, contributing to the stability and elegant profile of the chair. An authentic Vitra label confirms the provenance and the design year 1956. The chair is in excellent condition and shows minimal signs of careful use. The leather has developed a light, natural patina that adds character without compromising structural integrity. The wooden shells and the metal base are well preserved. This Lounge Chair fits seamlessly into various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary living spaces. It is a striking piece for a reading nook, living room, or office, where it serves both as a functional piece of seating and a statement of design history.
