Product description
This is an authentic Eames Plastic Side Chair DSX, produced by Vitra and designed by the iconic duo Charles and Ray Eames. The chair is a celebrated piece of design history, known for its organically shaped seat shell first presented in 1950. This specific example stands out with its vibrant, classic red color scheme.
The chair has a seat shell made of durable, through-dyed polypropylene in the color 'klassikrot'. The base is the non-stackable four-legged model (DSX) of chrome-plated steel, providing a stable and elegant foundation. According to the label on the underside, this chair was produced in October 2011. The design combines functionality with a sculptural form, a hallmark of the Eameses' work.
The overall condition of the chair is good, retaining its original finish and structural integrity. The luster of both the plastic shell and the chrome base has been well preserved, indicating careful use over the years.
Thanks to its timeless aesthetic and comfortable seating, the DSX chair is extremely versatile. It functions perfectly as a Dining chair, as an office chair in a home office, or as a striking accent piece in a living room or bedroom. The chair seamlessly fits into various interior styles, from modern and minimalist to eclectic.
