Product description
Old and very graceful religious statuette
from the post-war period depicting the Virgin and
Child, made of beautifully thick matte white bisque porcelain
during the 1950s.
This piece of sacred art and devotion is
distinguished by the delicacy of its meticulous modeling.
It features the Blessed Virgin crowned with flowers,
carrying the Infant Jesus on her left arm, who holds
the globus cruciger in his hands. The structure
rests on a cylindrical base adorned on the front
with the famous Marian monogram in relief "AM" (for
the Latin liturgical invocation Ave Maria / Holy Mary).
The reverse shows a hollowed-out structure with an
original technical opening under the base, typical
of Christian statuary productions from French workshops
of the second half of the 20th century. A beautiful
devotional object to complete a cabinet of curiosities.
