This is a vintage wooden spindle chair, executed in an elegant black color. The design is a timeless classic reminiscent of the traditional Windsor chair, characterized by its minimalist and functional silhouette.
The chair is entirely made of wood with a matte black finish. The construction consists of a curved top rail that transitions into a backrest with vertical spindles. The seat is subtly shaped for comfort and is supported by four obliquely placed, turned legs reinforced with an H-joint for extra stability.
This design is representative of mid-century and Scandinavian design movements, where simplicity and craftsmanship are central.
The chair is likely the Lilla Åland, a world-renowned Scandinavian design classic designed by the Swedish designer Carl Malmsten in 1942 and produced by the quality manufacturer Stolab.
