Authentic antique wall vase, also called a wall pocket, made by the famous Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (PZH) from Gouda. From the 1930s-1930s. The authenticity is evident from the markings on the back: 1217 is the model number of the vase shape (the conical wall pocket). Gouda/Zuid-Holland is the place of origin and the name of the pottery factory PHZ (often referred to by the well-known Pazuid). The 'lazarushuisje' (Lazarus house) is the official factory mark of Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (PHZ). The other marks (such as the letter 'M' and symbols) refer to the unique painter's signatures and decor indications/the floral pattern used. The letter 'M' refers to the specific artist who hand-painted the vase, namely decorator Johannes (Jan) van der Meer. He was a permanent pottery painter at the factory in Gouda in the early decades of the 20th century (1930s and 1930s). The floral decor is a variant of the then very popular matte polychrome art-deco floral pattern. The wall vase is in pristine condition. In the past, for example, dried flowers were placed in it.
