Product description
Very beautiful mid-century bookcase. This cabinet, from the 'MTP' series, was designed in 1961 by Marian Grabinski and was featured in the 1962 IKEA catalog. The series was designed by Grabinski as a wedding gift for Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of IKEA. The series is displayed in the IKEA museum in Älmhult.
The cabinet consists of two parts: a closed cabinet and an open section with compartments. Many shelves are present, and these are height-adjustable. Behind the doors, there is a large shelf that is also height-adjustable. Originally, the cabinet stood on legs, but these have been replaced by a plinth by a previous owner.
The cabinet is in good condition. There are light signs of wear consistent with its age.
