Vintage U-460 Sideboard – Jiri Jiroutek for Interier Praha, 1960s
This elegant Vintage U-460 sideboard is a powerful yet playful design by Jiri Jiroutek for Interier Praha, made in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. With its long, low silhouette, subtly slanted legs, and graphic details, this sideboard embodies the optimism and functionality of mid-century modernism.
Crafted in warm wood veneer, the sideboard exudes tranquility and rhythm. Behind the two doors is a generous storage space with a single, wide, continuous shelf, ideal for storing tableware, books, board games, or paperwork. On the right side, the horizontal panels in black, powder pink, and light grayish white create a distinct graphic accent—a playful signature so characteristic of Jiroutek's designs. The long top also makes this piece ideal as a sideboard, TV stand, or low cabinet in a spacious interior.
The sideboard has been professionally inspected and is in excellent condition. The top has been carefully sanded and refinished, restoring the wood's warm appearance without losing its authentic vintage character.
A stylish and rare sideboard that blends effortlessly into any interior, yet always retains its character.
