Product description
Vintage teak sideboard designed by Danish icon Jean Batenburg and Émile Souple for EMY Belgium, 1960s.
Rare sideboard. A beautiful design. High-quality craftsmanship from Batenburg's own brand, later known as MI.
Made from high-quality teak veneer in a warm tone with beautiful visible wood grain. Equipped with 2 large sliding doors with a recessed handle. Plenty of practical storage space thanks to the height-adjustable shelf.
The left side features 4 spacious drawers with a very refined finish.
The most striking element is the handmade wrought iron handle, designed by Émile Souply, a trained silversmith. This sculptural handle is more than just a functional detail; it is a small work of art in itself.
Beautiful and unique object. A collector's item from a collaboration of two great Belgian artists. In used but neat condition.
