This is an authentic vintage tea chest, made of wood with robust metal details. The original stencils and weathered appearance give it a unique character and a tangible history.
The chest is made of wood and reinforced with metal corner pieces, hinges, and a clasp. On the sides and inside of the lid, the original inscriptions are still visible, such as 'Rotterdam', 'Amsterdam', and 'B.O.P.', referring to its past in the tea trade. These details, combined with the dark brown color of the wood, create a tough, industrial look.
