Vintage table lamp in glazed ceramic and chrome metal – 1970s
A characteristic table lamp of seventies design, combining a caramel brown glazed ceramic base with chrome metal accents. The turned shaft features a baluster profile with successive steps (narrow neck, wide shoulder, fluted base), typical of French or German ceramic production of the time. The shiny brown/caramel glaze, uniform and lustrous, highlights the play of the turned volumes.
Mounting: circular base in chrome metal, socket connector also chrome — a highly sought-after metal/ceramic finish in 1970s occasional furniture.
Shade: cylindrical drum in woven plant fibre resembling raffia/jute, honey colour, with cream lining and trim.
Period: 1970s.
H. 60 cm D. 30 cm Light signs of aging on the chrome metal.
