Product description
Beautiful vintage studio pottery ashtray with a wonderfully soft aqua / celadon green glaze, likely dating from the 1960s–1970s.
The piece has a generous rounded form with a wide sculpted rim and two integrated cigarette rests. The glossy glaze shows subtle tonal variations from pale turquoise to seafoam green, giving it a particularly attractive handmade character.
Made from substantial glazed ceramic/stoneware, with an unglazed foot underneath and traces of an old maker’s mark or stamp, although unfortunately no longer clearly legible.
Its clean, minimalist form makes it equally attractive today as a decorative bowl, trinket dish or catch-all, even when not used as an ashtray.
