Product description
This is an authentic desk lamp by the Italian manufacturer Stilux Milano, a characteristic design from the 1960s. The piece embodies the aesthetic of the Mid-Century Modern era with its clean lines and functional elegance, a characteristic example of Italian lighting design from that period.
The lamp is made with a chrome-plated metal frame and a conical shade in matte black. The construction features an ingenious hinge and sliding system, allowing the arm and shade to be fully adjustable in height and direction for focused light. A heavy, round base ensures excellent stability. Its Italian origin is confirmed by the original 'Interruttore' sticker on the switch, a detail that distinguishes this piece from similar designs.
In a well-preserved vintage condition, the lamp retains its original finish and functional integrity. The whole shows a patina consistent with age and use, which contributes to the authentic character of the object. The wiring and switch are original and functional.
This Stilux desk lamp is a refined addition to a desk, dresser, or side table. Its timeless design fits seamlessly into both vintage and contemporary interiors, offering both functional lighting and a piece of design history.
