About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an original vintage Purdue Pegboard, produced by Science Research Associates (SRA) during the period when the company was a subsidiary of IBM.
It is a classic test instrument recognized worldwide for measuring fine and gross motor skills, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
The test board is made of wood and features the original print with the SRA logo and the mention 'A Subsidiary of IBM' (Reorder No 7-431).
The object comes complete with the corresponding metal test elements, including pins, washers, and nuts, which can be stored in the built-in sorting trays at the top.
The combination of warm wood and functional metal parts reflects the utilitarian design language of medical and psychological instruments of that era.
The Purdue Pegboard is in good, authentic condition with a visible patina that testifies to its previous use.
The construction is intact, and all original parts are present, contributing to the historical value of the object.
This instrument is an interesting collector's item for enthusiasts of medical history or vintage psychological instruments. It can also serve as a unique decorative element in a study, office, or an interior with a fondness for industrial or scientific curiosities.
