Product description
This striking vintage bathroom cabinet, model "Spluga," was manufactured in Italy by Carrara & Matta in the 1960s. Made entirely of plastic, the cabinet is distinguished by its vibrant orange color and clean, compact design. The front features two doors, enlivened by a horizontal ribbed pattern in the center. Two small metal locks provide a pleasing contrast to the orange plastic. Both doors can be locked individually, and the corresponding keys are included. Inside, the cabinet is divided into several compartments and shelves, offering ample storage space despite its compact size. Mounting hardware for wall installation is located on the back. The cabinet can be used traditionally as a bathroom or medicine cabinet, or simply as a small storage unit. Carrara & Matta was an Italian manufacturer renowned for its colorful plastic furniture and bathroom fittings. The bold color scheme and minimalist design make the "Spluga" a quintessential example of 1960s Italian design with Space Age influences. Condition: Good vintage condition with signs of age and use. There are light scratches and minor marks on the plastic surfaces. The interior fittings and both keys are present. Overall, the cabinet is well preserved for its age.
