Offered here is an intriguing vintage coffee table from the so-called "Space Age" design era, when furniture shapes and materials were primarily a nod to the ongoing quest for space exploration and its futuristic imagery: chrome, glass and flowing shapes were all gone. The current table shows unexpected shapes in the legs, with curved chrome-plated metal tubes that open into shiny spheres that give support and stability to the piece. The top is a simple smoked glass disc, extremely well preserved.
