Product description
This vintage lounge set, dating from the Space Age era, consists of four armchairs and a matching coffee table. The set embodies the bold aesthetic of the 1970s, characterized by clean lines and the use of modern materials that define the design of this period.
The structure of each piece is made of chrome-plated tubular metal, forming a continuous cantilever base that serves as both the base and armrests for the armchairs. The seats are upholstered with tufted brown suede cushions, offering a textural contrast to the shiny metal frame. The back of the armchairs is covered with black plastic. The square coffee table features a smoked glass top that complements the chrome structure, reflecting the distinctive style of the set.
The overall condition of this set is very good, testifying to careful maintenance over the decades. The chrome retains its shine and the velvet upholstery shows a uniform patina that adds to the authentic character of the pieces. Some visible scratches on the tabletop. The structure is solid and functional.
With its coherent design and retro-modern appeal, this lounge set is ideal for creating a focal point in a living space. It integrates perfectly into Mid-Century, eclectic or contemporary interiors, bringing a touch of the optimism of 70s design.
