About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Rustic travail populaire Alpine cabinet made from solid pine wood in Switzerland, circa 1800. This organic travail populaire cabinet provides sufficient space to store and display various items. Would be ideal as a wardrobe in a bedroom or hallway, providing a touch of authenticity and a warm atmosphere. The characteristic features of this wabi-sabi cabinet include the three shelves inside, along with hangers, making it extremely convenient for hanging your clothes and storing belongings.
With its remarkable patina, the design reminds us of the wabi-sabi philosophy which centres around the appreciation of the beauty of natural imperfection. The idea involves the understanding that everything ages with grace, and becomes more beautiful as it breaks, fades, or scars. It is the understanding that old and worn out things have their own elegant charm. The simplicity of the lines, combined with its remarkable woodworking and craftsmanship, will allow this Swiss cabinet to bring a touch of authenticity to any home. Would fit well in a rustic minimal Axel Vervoordt inspired interior. This piece is in good original condition and reflects a warm and cosy feeling, ideal to give your interior extra character.
