Product description
This original vintage sofa dates back to the 1960s and was manufactured by VEB Wohnkultur Kirchberg (Saxony). With its clean lines, delicate wooden legs, and curved armrests, it embodies the typical mid-century design of the GDR.
The original black upholstery with a subtle yellow polka dot pattern is well-preserved and lends the sofa its authentic character. The upholstered seat with its spring core ensures comfortable seating.
The frame is made of beech and spruce. The solid wood armrests add a warm touch and underscore the high-quality craftsmanship.
This sofa is ideal as a stylish seating option in a living room, office, guest room, or vacation home.
➡️ Dimensions:
195 cm x 78 cm x 76 cm (width x depth x height)
Seat height: 38 cm
Seat width: 187 cm
Seat depth: 47 cm
➡️ Condition:
The sofa is in good original vintage condition. The original upholstery is clean and well-preserved. The black base color of the fabric has faded slightly due to age, which further emphasizes the authentic vintage patina. The frame is sturdy, the cushions are pleasantly firm, and the spring system ensures a comfortable seat. The wooden parts show only minor, age-related wear. Overall, a very well-maintained and ready-to-use original from the 1960s.
➡️ Refurbishment:
The sofa has been thoroughly deep cleaned. The upholstery has been gently cleaned and refreshed. The wooden elements have been cleaned and treated, so the furniture is in excellent condition and ready for immediate use. The back of the backrest and the underside of the seat have been reupholstered.
