Vintage, silver-plated, set of 6 forks and 1 "cracker", by Silea, France, circa 70's - 80's. This beautiful, seafood cutlery set, comes with its original wood box with slots for each piece. The design of the forks, features a lobster motif at the centers of both the fronts and backs, along with some other lovely details (see photos.) Each fork measures at 19.5 cm in length, with one end to pick open a shell, and the other, to scoop out the meat (see photos.) The lobster "cracker", is designed like a lobster claw. It measures at 25.5 cm when fully open, and is 14 cm, when fully closed. There is a maker's mark sticker on the back of the box (see photos.). The set is in overall very good, original and vintage condition, with some light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the forks, cracker, and box (see photos.). The set has only been gently cleaned with a dry, microfiber cloth, with respect to its original patina of time. All photos taken in natural, outdoor light, so colors may vary, based upon brightness, reflections of stone, angles and perspective in which they are viewed. The set will be shipped with its original box and plastic casing. Dimensions of each fork: Height/length: 19.5 cm |
