Product description
Expressive vintage sideboard from the 1970s with a particularly successful combination of dark-grained wood decor and cream-white fronts. The straightforward, compact design language and the striking ring handles give the furniture a typical Mid-Century character with clear Space Age influences.
The dark brown body shows a very beautiful, high-contrast wenge look with elongated wood grain. The lively pattern is particularly effective on the top plate. The light, slightly structured fronts in cream white provide an attractive contrast. The combination looks graphic and elegant and makes the sideboard a characteristic piece of furniture of its era.
The front is symmetrically structured: In the upper area there are two generous drawers, below them two separate storage compartments. The left compartment is accessed via a downward-opening flap door, which is held by a metal fitting. On the right is a side-opening door. This means that the chest of drawers offers a lot of practical storage space despite its relatively compact dimensions.
A special design detail are the four original-looking ring handles in dark brown and metal. Their geometric, almost technical design underlines the Space Age character and sets a strong accent on the cream-colored fronts. The restrained base in dark wood look also harmoniously integrates into the clear overall design.
Condition:
The furniture is in beautiful used vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. Minor marks and slight abrasion are present on fronts, edges and surfaces.
