This sideboard was manufactured in Poland in the 1970s. The case, drawer and door are finished in walnut veneer with a striking, symmetrical grain pattern. Black high gloss contrasting handles and legs give the piece a bold, graphic character, adding a distinctly modernist touch to the overall form. Behind the sliding glass doors lies a long, removable shelf, also features a removable shelf behind the veneered door. This is a great example of Polish functional design from the Polish People’s Republic era, both practical and visually appealing.
The piece has undergone full restoration, including structural repairs and refinishing of all surfaces.
