Product description
Simple and characterful vintage wooden chair from Switzerland, with the original workshop label of the carpentry A. Brandenberg, Uster on the underside. The label states "Eidg. dipl. Schreinermeister" (Federal certified master carpenter) as well as "Möbelwerkstätten – Innenausbau" (Furniture workshops – Interior design) and gives the piece a beautiful, traceable regional origin. The chair shows the reduced, functional design language of classic Swiss utility and bistro furniture from the post-war period. The slightly curved backrest, the slender legs and the softly rounded seat create a balanced, unobtrusive silhouette. Condition: The wood appears to be beech or beech wood, stained and varnished in a warm honey-brown. The age-related signs of wear are particularly beautiful: scratches, abrasions, darker areas on the seat and legs, and minor dents give the chair an authentic patina.
