Product description
This is an authentic vintage vase by the West German manufacturer Scheurich. The piece is an excellent example of mid-20th century ceramics, known for its robust forms and expressive glazes. This specific model, 260-18, is executed in the sought-after 'Inka' decor, which is characterized by its complex geometric relief pattern.
The vase is made of high-quality ceramic and has a height of 18 centimeters, as indicated by the model number on the underside. The surface is decorated with a detailed relief of concentric circles, squares, and rectangles, creating a tactile and visually intriguing texture. The color is a subtle blue-grey hue with depth, where the glaze accentuates the impressed patterns. The 'W. Germany' mark confirms its origin from the heyday of the German ceramics industry, circa 1960.
The overall condition of the vase is excellent, consistent with its age. The glaze is completely intact and shows a subtle sheen that highlights the detailed design. The object has retained its original character and shows no signs of restoration, which underscores its authenticity and the care with which it has been preserved.
Thanks to its timeless design and understated color scheme, this Scheurich vase fits effortlessly into various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to minimalist and contemporary. It functions both as an autonomous decorative object on a sideboard or in a bookcase, and as a functional vase for a modest bouquet.
