This is a vintage table lamp by the Danish manufacturer Søholm, a perfect example of mid-century Scandinavian ceramics. The lamp combines a beautifully glazed base with an atmospheric, woven shade that diffuses a warm and soft light. The lamp's base is made of ceramic and features a two-tone glaze: a deep dark brown on the neck and a warmer, honey-brown hue on the wider base. The base is adorned with a characteristic incised pattern, typical of Søholm's craftsmanship from that period. The cylindrical shade is made of a natural material, probably rattan or rope, stretched over a metal frame. In good vintage condition, the lamp shows character and the traces of a previous life, which adds to its authentic charm.
