Beautiful vintage Scandinavian rug. This is a very fine traditional Swedish röllakan rug.
A röllakan rug is a traditional Scandinavian, flat-woven rug that has played a central role in Swedish folk culture for centuries. These rugs are known for their durability. They are made of wool, which is hard-wearing and dirt-repellent. In addition, a röllakan rug can be used on both sides, so you can enjoy your rug twice as long!
This rug can also be used on two sides. One side is slightly lighter in color, partly due to the cream-colored border. On the other side, the border is brown. The main color is blue, but green and white are also woven into the rug. Like every röllakan rug, this rug also has geometric patterns.
The rug is in good condition. Even all the fringes are completely intact. There are some spots here and there, see photos.
