S24 chair by Pierre Chapo 1967
Solid elm frame, wooden back,
The seat leather is tightened by an ingenious braid of ropes underneath (recent ropes), with minor traces of use on the leather.
A brief history
Pierre Chapo designed this chair in 1967 for his friend Dr. Hiroshi Nakajima.
He emphasized the strength of half-timbered corner joints to ensure the rigidity of a chair with very pure lines.
