Beautiful vintage rattan wingback armchair with a high back and old pink cushions. A very special chair that adds character to a room and is also wonderfully comfortable. The chair has no visible label or mark. Due to its design, rattan construction, and presumed period, we believe it may have been produced by Rohé Noordwolde, but we cannot confirm this with certainty. It probably dates from the 1960s or 70s. The dark stained, bent rattan frame has beautiful hand-tied connections and is completely sturdy. There are no breaks anywhere, the chair does not wobble and does not creak. As is common with rattan, it sometimes makes some natural sound when moved. The comfortable, upholstered cushions are covered with a warm old pink/mauve fabric. The cushions can be detached from the chair; the covers themselves are not removable. The chair has light signs of wear appropriate for its age, but no major damage to the fabric or the rattan. Dimensions: – Height: 107 cm – Backrest width: 83 cm – Seat width: 60 cm – Seat depth: 60 cm – Seat height: 55 cm. The armchair comes from a clean and smoke-free home. There is a cat, but the chair has no odor, scratches, or other damage from it. Pick up in Amsterdam-Noord.
