About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an authentic vintage advertising sign from the historic French chocolate brand Guérin-Boutron. The object is a tangible piece of commercial history from an era when such signs adorned the streetscape. Its distinctive typography and design make it a characterful collector's item.
The sign is made of metal, with raised, blue enameled letters forming the text 'Chocolat Soluble' and the brand name 'Guérin-Boutron'. The background has a metallic hue, set within a decorative, darker border with a classic motif. Its trapezoidal shape is typical of early 20th-century advertisements and testifies to the craftsmanship of that period.
The overall condition of the sign reflects its age and past. It has a weathered appearance with a rich and authentic patina that enhances its unique character. The traces of time contribute to its historical charm and tell the story of the object.
This decorative sign is a striking addition to an interior with an industrial, rustic, or eclectic style. It can serve as a unique piece of art in a kitchen, dining room, cafe, or as part of a vintage advertising collection.
