This is truly a beautiful box! If you look closely, you can see that the entire box is made of thin layers of wood stacked on top of each other. As a result, you can see these layers (lines) on the side of the box, on the knob, and on the feet. It is clearly made with great care and craftsmanship. The wood also has a beautiful grain, which is particularly visible on the lid and the bottom. There is a thin layer of lacquer over the wood, and it is in perfect condition. Ideal for storing jewelry, trinkets, and pens, or as a handy box in the hallway for keys, for example.
PLEASE NOTE: there is a small stain on one of the long sides of the box (see last photo).
