Product description
This characterful rattan footstool is a beautiful example of the light and natural design typical of vintage rattan furniture. The frame is entirely constructed from bent rattan, with the various parts carefully joined together using rattan bindings. The open structure of the frame gives the footstool an airy appearance while simultaneously ensuring a surprisingly strong whole. Particularly noteworthy is the woven seat, which consists of a large number of hand-applied rattan sticks. The combination of the curved lines, the natural material, and the visible joints gives the design a handcrafted character. The small color differences and signs of use in the rattan contribute precisely to its authentic look. The footstool can, of course, be perfectly used as a comfortable addition to a rattan armchair, but also stands well on its own. Use it as a decorative element in an interior with Mid-Century Modern, vintage, Japandi, or a more natural living style. A versatile vintage piece of furniture with a warm, timeless appeal and a beautiful combination of functionality and artisanal detailing. Country of origin: Presumably the Netherlands Height: 38.5 cm Width: 60 cm Depth: 46 cm
