Product description
A postmodern extendable dining table from the seventies or eighties, manufactured with a chromed metal base and a plastic top. The design is an homage to Belgo Chrom's 'Moving Table' and is characterized by the combination of the reflective, geometric column and the dramatic top.
The table is built around a central, octagonal column with a high-gloss chrome finish that reflects light. The top has the appearance of black marble with contrasting white veins, but is made from a practical and lightweight plastic such as melamine or formica. Thanks to a smooth mechanism, the table can be easily extended to 220 cm to create extra seating space.
Overall, the table is in good vintage condition, with a functioning extension mechanism and a shiny chrome base that reflects the character of the period. The use of plastic for the top offers the luxurious aesthetic of natural stone with increased ease of use, insensitive to stains and rings.
This dining table is a statement piece that fits well into an eclectic, Hollywood Regency or postmodern interior. The design combines functionality with a distinct aesthetic, making it a focal point in the dining room.
