Product description
A large and visually powerful vintage rug with a distinctly postmodern character.
This handmade Moroccan rug combines traditional craftsmanship with a striking graphic design strongly reminiscent of the 1980s aesthetic. The soft salmon pink base forms a tranquil backdrop for three abstract vertical shapes in deep anthracite, turquoise, and bright orange.
The composition has an almost architectural feel and aligns with the graphic language of postmodern design and the Memphis movement, which emphasized simple forms and powerful color contrasts.
Thanks to its generous size of 320 x 201 cm, this rug acts as a true statement piece. In an interior, it functions not only as a rug but almost as a work of art on the floor. The thick wool pile feels soft and comfortable and gives the rug a warm, inviting appearance.
These graphically designed Moroccan rugs from the late 20th century are increasingly seen as collectible design objects and fit perfectly into interiors with an eclectic, postmodern, or contemporary design style.
A unique piece that adds character and color to a room.
