About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Bring authentic Portuguese mid-century style to your home with this beautiful vintage IVIMA ice bucket, produced in Marinha Grande, Portugal, during the 1970s. Crafted from richly toned smoky brown textured glass, this elegant piece features a striking geometric relief pattern that beautifully reflects the light, while its sleek chrome swing handle adds a refined modernist touch. Both decorative and functional, it is perfect for serving ice, chilling drinks, or displaying as part of a vintage bar collection.
Manufactured by IVIMA, one of Portugal's most respected glassmakers, this ice bucket represents the exceptional craftsmanship that made Marinha Grande internationally renowned for glass production. Since the 18th century, the region has been the heart of Portuguese glassmaking, combining centuries-old techniques with innovative industrial design. During the 1960s and 1970s, IVIMA became known for producing stylish pressed glass inspired by Scandinavian and European modernism, creating timeless pieces that remain highly collectible today.
This vintage ice bucket remains in original vintage condition, with no chips or cracks, preserving the beauty and integrity of the glass. Its warm amber-brown tone, textured surface, and sculptural silhouette make it a versatile addition to any mid-century modern, Scandinavian, Hollywood Regency, or vintage-inspired interior.
