An iconic and minimalist vintage wall mirror from the (almost certainly) well-known French design brand Allibert from the 1970s (Space Age / Modernist). Dimensions (approx.): - The mirror has a diameter of 49.8 cm including the plastic (brown transparent) holder/casing. - The total width/height including brackets and tilting system is 56 cm. - The entire unit stands 7.7 cm from the wall. - If the mirror is mounted 'as is', the distance from the wall to the highest position is 10 cm, with the mirror resting against the wall on the other side. This model excels in simplicity and sleek design: a beautiful round mirror finished at the top and bottom with chrome-style plastic brackets. You can find similar mirrors of this model online. Often featuring a back panel where the mirror was placed in a fixed plastic 'holder' with lighting. Extensive research has shown that this is almost certainly a 'blind' mirror. mounting system'. The rear axle/bracket is screwed directly onto the wall, after which you slide the mirror over it using the plastic chrome style brackets and secure it 'invisibly'. As a result, there are no other screws visible, giving the mirror a beautiful 'floating' effect on the wall. The mechanism ensures that the mirror can tilt smoothly for the perfect viewing angle. All parts and the glass are in very beautiful, glossy vintage condition with only minimal signs of age. The glass is clear and the construction is sound. Ready to hang immediately! For an even greater 'tilting effect', you could attach a thicker metal plate or chrome rod to the wall, onto which you then screw the plastic holder. This brings the whole assembly forward slightly more, giving the mirror even more room to tilt left/right. Or up and down, depending on whether you intend to place the mirror horizontally or vertically. The mirror is excellently packaged and shipped insured via our experienced partner.
