About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Vintage nightstand in pine wood, from Central Europe. Originates from functional domestic furniture of the mid-20th century, when two-tone paint defined simple pieces for the rural bedroom.
Nightstands of this type were made in small series to furnish country-house bedrooms, combining a single drawer with straight legs and rounded corners.
The simply lined structure rests on four straight legs with rounded front corners and features a front drawer with a turned wooden handle.
The original white paint covers the structure, while the top and the handle retain the characteristic black, both showing the wear typical of daily use.
In a contemporary bedroom, it works as a nightstand or side table, bringing the graphic character of mid-century painted furniture.
