About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Vintage night table in pine wood, from Central Europe. It comes from Central European domestic furniture of the early decades of the 20th century, when it was common to paint solid pine to protect the wood and decorate the bedroom or kitchen.
Pieces of this type were used as a bedside table or as an auxiliary support in the kitchen, making use of its square top and low height.
The structure, with four straight legs joined by H-stretchers, holds a simple top of joined boards, with no drawer or lower shelf.
The original paint shows marked wear through successive layers, revealing the pine wood beneath in areas of heaviest use.
In a rustic or vintage bedroom or kitchen, it works as a night table or side table, bringing the aged color of period painted furniture.
