About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This coffee table is a design by Peter Ghyczy and represents an era of functional design. The piece is characterized by its clear, geometric shape and Ghyczy's characteristic clamping technique, where the legs hold the glass top without additional fastenings.
The table consists of a solid, square glass top resting on a frame of four metal legs. The legs have a black finish, while the upper clamping elements are made of metal and bear the characteristic Ghyczy logo. With dimensions of 80 cm in width, 80 cm in depth, and a height of 45 cm, the table offers a generous yet compact storage surface. The construction is an example of the innovative manufacturing techniques of the 1970s.
The overall condition of the table is good and corresponds to its age and use. Over the years, the materials have developed an authentic patina that emphasizes the vintage character of the furniture piece. The structure is solid, and the original design features are fully preserved.
Thanks to its minimalist and timeless design, this coffee table seamlessly integrates into various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary interiors. It works well as a central element in a seating area and can be versatilely combined with different sofas and armchairs.
