This vintage daybed by Pastoe is an authentic example of Dutch furniture design from the mid-20th century. The piece combines a bed frame with an integrated headboard that also serves as a storage unit and desk, a characteristic of the manufacturer's functional and minimalist aesthetic.
The furniture is made of wood with a warm finish and features a clear, rectilinear construction. The headboard contains open compartments and compartments with sliding doors, providing practical storage space. A special detail is the fold-out top, which reveals a perforated metal surface and transforms the furniture into a compact workspace. The dimensions are 200 cm in width, 90 cm in depth, and 78 cm in height. This daybed is supplied without a mattress.
The overall condition of the daybed is good and consistent with its age. The wood has developed a characteristic patina over the years, contributing to its vintage appearance. The construction is solid and stable, ready for a new purpose.
Thanks to its multifunctional character, this piece of furniture is a versatile addition to various spaces. It fits perfectly in a home office, guest room, or as a compact sofa bed in a studio apartment with a Mid-Century Modern or Scandinavian interior.
