About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
Special vintage chest of drawers made of richly figured rosewood. The wide drawer fronts show a distinct, almost continuous grain pattern, combined with characteristic round handles.
Striking is the tapered shape of the cabinet: the sides subtly narrow towards the top, making the furniture wider at the bottom than at the top. This gives the cabinet a sculptural, almost architectural appearance and makes its silhouette particularly elegant.
The cabinet is generously and solidly built and features five spacious drawers. The dark rosewood, the warm color nuances, the striking wood grain, and the sober geometric design make this a distinctive design object that will fit well in both modern and more classic interiors.
The designer or manufacturer is not marked. Despite extensive research, I have not been able to determine the origin with certainty to date. For this reason, I deliberately do not mention a designer or brand name; the cabinet is offered based on the furniture itself, the material, and the quality of its execution.
The cabinet is in very good vintage condition. There are signs of use consistent with its age, and there is slight damage on one drawer front. This is clearly shown in the photos.
