Beautiful vintage oriental boho cloisonne vase with a dominant blue color and stunning floral and patterned designs from the 1980s.
This Chinese vase is made of brass and "colored" with various enamel colors.
The Chinese cloisonne vase is 18 cm high and has a diameter of 9.5 cm.
Cloisonné is a method in which metal wires (or strips) are soldered to a metal base to create compartments. These are then filled with colored enamel powder, fired, and polished, resulting in colorful, detailed patterns with clear lines; the name derives from the French word for "partition." This labor-intensive technique originated in China and was used in Byzantine art.
