About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
At first glance, it's the depth of its glass that catches the eye. Then, upon observing the design, one discovers an unusual scene: a glassblower bent over his furnace, a glass-blowing pipe in hand, immortalized in a remarkable relief molded into the heart of the material. Crafted from thick glass tinted an elegant olive green, this ashtray is characteristic of European productions from the 1970s, a period when glassworks explored sculptural forms and paid homage to artisanal crafts. The scene, inspired by Art Deco aesthetics, celebrates the ancestral gesture of the master glassmaker, who transforms molten glass into a true work of art. Its finely crafted relief comes alive under the light, while the transparency of the glass highlights every detail of the composition. More than a simple ashtray, it is now a beautiful decorative object, an original catch-all, or a collector's item for lovers of vintage glass and 20th-century design. Diameter approximately 15 cm, weight approximately 700 g. In very good condition, with no chips or cracks.
