A pretty transparent glass serving dish, typical of mid-20th century tableware, whose entire charm lies in the detailing of its border. Made of molded glass, it features a particularly elegant decorative composition: the slightly undulating rim alternates round embossed cabochons, long volutes, and tear-drop motifs, while a second wreath of small beads highlights the center of the dish. Light naturally catches these various reliefs and gives the piece much more presence than a simple plain glass dish. Its design evokes the glassware productions of the 1940s-1960s, particularly around the 1950s, a period during which European manufacturers developed pressed glass tableware that was both decorative and intended for everyday use. The lines are still inspired by the stylized forms of the interwar period, but already softened by the taste of the 1950s. With its approximately 30 cm diameter, it has a beautiful proportion for use as a presentation dish: for pastries, fruits, mini desserts, cheeses, or a table centerpiece. It can also simply be displayed, its peripheral decoration particularly catching the light. A simple but decorative vintage piece, easy to combine with antique tableware or a more contemporary setting. Condition: good overall vintage condition. The dish shows scratches and signs of use, especially on the central part, as well as a more visible mark, evidence of its use over the years. These marks are visible in the photographs and contribute to its antique character.
